Learn the basics of soap-making!


In this bilingual 2-hour workshop, participants will be exposed to the science and art of making soap.  You will learn the basic chemistry of soap making, and have a hands on experience making your own personalized batch of soap (approximately 6 bars). We will be working with vegetable oils, essential oils, herbs and lye (sodium hydroxide) in a safe and fun environment.

This is an intro-level workshop. No previous experience is required.

  • Date: Saturday, Sept 19, 2026
  • Time: 10:30am-12:30pm
  • Location: Sweet Paprika Studio (4035 rue St-Ambroise, room 292, Montreal)
  • Fee: $70 + tax (includes all materials)
  • Language: This is a bilingual workshop (English & French)
  • This workshop is open to adults, and children 12+ accompanied by an adult participant
  • Workshop will run with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 students.

Cancellation policy: We require payment in full in order to reserve a space. We have a 5-day cancellation policy. Your payment will not be refunded unless you cancel at least 5 days before the workshop start time. We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. Should this occur, all class fees will be refunded.
